Five Eighteen was founded on May 18th, 2024, in memory of Fatima Kinshasa Carter, who lost her life from medical complications in pursuit of her dream to be a mother. Kristin Moreland, our founder, and Fatima were close friends and sorority line sisters. The experience of this unexpected and untimely loss changed the trajectory of many lives, including Kristin’s.

The completion of Kristin’s master’s in social work arrived and she went on to work serving the central Ohio community as a licensed social worker. With a strong foundation in family therapy, group work, and crisis, Kristin works to ensure Five Eighteen is a support to its’ clients and serving with purpose.
